Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is located in Caniço on the Island of Madeira. The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax taking unforgettable holiday experiences back home. The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in antiquities and paintings. In 1989 the property was in disrepair and was bought by a Swiss gentleman, then carefully restored according to the old designs. In 1993 the property was officially opened under the new name Hotel Quinta Splendida. The accommodation is situated in spacious cottages around the gardens and the pool. From the outdoor pool, guests can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic to the nearby nature reserve Ilhas Desertas. The Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden has been given the Golden Estrelicia award by the Madeirense government as well as the Gold Crown and Holly award by international tour operators.
